Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Darakhvelidze visited the youth camp in Anaklia and held an informative and educational meeting with the juveniles in the camp within the frames of the "Befriend the Police" campaign.
Heads of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also attended the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness among juveniles on public safety and rule of law and order.
The guests provided approximately 300 juveniles with information on various topics related to the rule of law and order, including children's rights, early marriage and its negative impact, violence, bullying, cyber hygiene, the importance of timely cooperation with law enforcement agencies, and crime prevention.
The meeting focused on the issues of traffic and civil safety as well.
The meeting was held in Q&A format.
The youth camp operates with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia. The camp program duration is seven days long. Young people have the opportunity to engage in recreational, sports and cognitive activities focused on developing basic competencies.
